Job Description

Green Voltis is now looking to expand into the Nordic market and are searching for an Energy Trader to join them at their office in Stockholm. The Energy Trader will support trading operations in the Swedish and Nordic spot markets, focusing on assisting with real-time trading, market analysis, and strategy execution. This role is ideal for a trader with foundational experience in energy markets who is eager to develop expertise in spot trading. The Energy Trader will work alongside the CTO and collaborate with the China-based development team on data analytics and market strategy.

Tasks and Responsibilities

• Assist in executing spot market trades under the guidance of the CTO, ensuring alignment with company trading strategies.
• Monitor day-ahead and intraday markets, providing real-time support in adjusting trading positions based on market conditions.
• Track market prices, demand forecasts, and key trading signals to optimize trade execution.
• Collect and analyze market data, contributing to the identification of trends, patterns, and trading opportunities.
• Work with the development team to integrate new data sources and tools, helping to optimize trading performance.
• Prepare analytical reports on trading outcomes, highlighting key findings and recommendations.
• Assist in monitoring risk exposure and ensure compliance with market regulations and company policies.
• Maintain accurate trade records, ensuring transparency and adherence to audit requirements.
• Learn and apply risk management techniques, supporting the CTO in controlling exposure.
• Conduct research on potential PPA opportunities and contribute to the assessment of new projects.
• Support the CTO in PPA administration, including contract management, performance tracking, and regulatory compliance.

Profile and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Business, or a related field. Specialized coursework or certifications in energy trading or finance are a plus.
• 5+ years of experience in energy trading in spot market. Exposure to Sweden or Nordic markets is a big advantage.
• Basic proficiency in trading tools and software, strong analytical skills, and familiarity with financial modeling.
• Eager to learn, detail-oriented, and able to work well in a high-stakes trading environment.
• Fluent in English, both spoken and written.
