Job Profile
The Sales Director is responsible for the company’s sales and store operations, as well as financial responsibility which includes overseeing sales and operational results. The role’s purpose is to optimize and develop the sales organization through strong and authentic leadership.
The sales management organization currently includes Regional Managers and store managers, concept manager, display, establishment, security, events, and assistants. Support from controlling and HR is also available.
The position collaborates with Marketing and Procurement & Logistics on ongoing operational issues.
Tasks and responsibilities:
- Lead the sales organization towards set goals.
- Develop the sales work, methods, and employees.
- Develop the store network – openings and closures.
- Develop the concept.
- Enhance personal selling and in-store display.
- Ensure cost-effective store operations – hours, overhead, etc.
- Ensure campaign implementation in-store.
Profile and experience
- Experience in change management
- Strong financial knowledge.
- Organizational skills.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Experience in a senior sales leadership role within a retail chain, preferably with some exposure to franchising.
- Experience with establishment and property issues.
- Experience with multi-channel strategy is a plus.
Personal profile
We are looking for a person with solid experience in operational sales within a retail chain. We believe that you currently hold a similar position in a medium-sized or large retail company, with a few years of experience in the role.
It is crucial to understand the entire work process, from customer behavior patterns in a store to purchasing, product display, and sales in-store/concept development, and to adapt this to a sales-oriented approach that appeals to the end consumer in the best possible way.
You are likely someone who feels passionate about retail and managing stores from a central perspective with a strong focus on leadership and results. You are curious about people and driven by the desire to make customers more than just satisfied. You also seek continuous development and are motivated by “going the extra mile”/always wanting to achieve a little more.
